Is it possible to be attracted to your therapist, for that person vs. some transference thing? At first meeting there was an attraction. If one develops an attraction for one's therapist, should they not continue therapy with that therapist? The following article describes the problems for analysts and therapists when there is an intense erotic attraction from the patient.

I am currently looking at the sensitive area of erotic transference in the therapeutic setting. Specifically with a view to accounting for the phenomena through a threatened sense of self (as outlined by Kotze and Meares, 1996). Could you suggest any readings that support or counter this claim.
