I. Individuals who have graduated from Full Clinical Psychoanalytic Training at an APsaA Accredited Training Institute or New Training Facility are eligible for Active Membership in the Association.
APsaA Affiliate Members automatically become Active Members at the biannual national meeting which follows the notification of their graduation. To maintain their membership, the interested Affiliate Member must file a signed Ethical Disclaimer with the National Office.
Non-member APsaA Institute graduates are eligible to apply for Active Membership. If you would like to request an application for Active Membership or have questions, please contact Membership Services (membership@apsa.org).
II. Full members of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) or graduates of an institute of an IPA component society are eligible to apply for Active Membership.

III. Individual Psychoanalysts who have not completed training at an Institute accredited by the American Psychoanalytic Association or the International Psychoanalytical Association.
Policies and procedures for this new membership pathway are being developed and will be voted on by APsaA’s Board of Directors in January 2011.
