The Education Department of the American Psychoanalytic Association works to advance the understanding and knowledge of psychoanalysis for the benefit of the public through educational institutions and programs. It seeks to encourage interdisciplinary interaction and mutual learning involving educators at all levels of the American education system and psychoanalysts. The Initiative also seeks to advance the resources available to educators and to make psychoanalytic principles applicable as components of other areas of education.
